13th Disciple Mix

If you haven’t heard of these bands then you are in for a treat. Five Thirty were a mod band heavily influenced by the great music of the 60’s – comparisons with the Stone Roses/Hendrix/Byrds flew around but this band had their own sound. Check out the Wah-Wah on “13th disciple”, the unbelievable melody of “Cuddly Drug” to the fastest love song ever in “You” – check out “Bed” the greatest album no-one heard in the 90’s! The Honey Smugglers released 2 EPs I believe – both represented here – if you like a burning Hammond organ with tunes that remind me of the Charlatans on speed then these are the boys for you – listen and despair they don’t have a proper back catalogue. The Dylans released a couple of cracking albums and represent the poppier side of the three- genius melodies that are guaranteed to life your spirits – they liked a bit of the old organ too.
